Aldi to Sell Lottery Tickets in All UK Stores

The well-known budget supermarket company, Aldi, is teaming up with the UK National Lottery’s administrator, Camelot, to make lottery tickets available in all 900 of its UK locations.

Customers will be able to purchase their lottery tickets conveniently at the checkout with their groceries beginning in the following month. This encompasses major games such as Lotto, EuroMillions, Set For Life, and Thunderball. This nationwide launch comes after a successful trial period of lottery sales in Aldi stores throughout North England.

Richard Thornton, Aldi UK’s Communications Director, conveyed his enthusiasm for the partnership, expressing hope that this convenient new offering will spread a bit of luck to their customers nationwide.

By the end of June 2021, lottery tickets will be obtainable in all Aldi stores.

Jenny Blogg, Camelot’s Retail Director, shared her excitement about the joint effort, emphasizing that broadening the National Lottery’s accessibility aligns with their goal of making lottery participation easier. She believes Aldi customers will value the simplicity of buying their preferred lottery games and anticipates celebrating more fortunate winners from Aldi locations.
