Prague Gaming Group Appoints Former OLG Head Paul Godfrey to Board

The Prague Gaming Group has hired Paul Godfrey, a former head of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), to its board of directors. Godfrey will help the company shape its strategy in Canada.

Godfrey will immediately join the Prague board and will be in charge of directing the supplier’s strategic path in Canada.

Besides leading OLG, Godfrey has held several other high-ranking business positions in his career. He was the publisher and CEO of the Toronto Sun newspaper company.

Godfrey also established the Canadian media group Postmedia in 2010 and has served as its head. He has also served as the head of the board of RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and a member of the board of Cargojet, a Canadian airline.

Earlier in his career, Godfrey was the president and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays, a Major League Baseball team in Canada. He was also involved in the construction of the SkyDome (now called Rogers Centre) in Toronto.
